Unfortunately, last year there was a mid-air crash at another airshow in Poland, so this time the organisers used only 2 aerobatic planes, and they flew seperately.

Wrocław is known, among others, for its Wratislavia Cantans festival. This year one of the highlights was the open air concert of music by Handel, accompanied by a fireworks show (quite appropriately, as one of the pieces was "Music for The Royal Fireworks").

We were very lucky to come to the waterfall when it was particularly impressive after a long spell of rain. My non-sealed camera was also lucky to survive the constant rain and spray from the waterfall.
The waterdrops on the lens often created blurry but evocative, painterly images.

Firefighting in a run-down part of the Wrocław city centre. Some of the onlookers are people evacuated from the burning building. A woman who took me for a journalist (because I was using a tripod?) told me that the fire was started by a drunk who was a constant nuisance for his neighbours.

The screening of 'Alexander Nevsky' by Sergei Eisenstein in front of the Wrocław Opera House was the grand finale of the 6th edition of the Era New Horizons film festival. The film score was performed live by the 160-people strong orchestra and chorus (seen on the left). I also recorded some short (30sec) films.
